Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Pomfret Ctr, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The improvements include construction of a stone dust surface segment of the Air Line Trail from Route 44/169 in Pomfret to the Quinebaug River in Putnam. The project also includes tree removal, drainage improvements, grading, fencing, minor landscaping, access ramp /retaining walls, a staircase connecting to the Quinebaug River Trail, and restoration of disturbed areas. Construction is anticipated to begin during the Winter of 2026/2027, with an estimated duration of 360 calendar days. The bidder shall comply with all applicable Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements established by the Connecticut Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration. The DBE participation goal for this contract is zero percent (0%). All required bid security, performance and payment bonds, insurance, labor documentation, DBE documentation, certifications, and other required forms shall be submitted in the manner and within the time periods specified in the official Bid Documents The Town of Pomfret reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor informalities or technical defects when permitted by applicable law and the official Bid Documents, and to award the contract in accordance with the requirements of the Bid Documents and all applicable Connecticut Department of Transportation and Federal requirements.
