The requesting agency for this solicitation is Prince William County Public Works, Solid Waste Division. The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a contract for the Processing of Recyclable Material collected by the Solid Waste Division at customer convenience centers located at the Countys Landfill and Compost Facility, as well as other County-owned and -operated drop-off locations. The recyclable material consists of loose, unbagged single-stream recycling and separated cardboard that are transported by County staff to a processing facility. It is the County's intention that the recyclable material delivered to the Contractor be processed and sold as a raw material or reused in a beneficial manner. In order to minimize the County's transportation costs for material delivery, the Contractor's facility for receiving recyclable material under this contract shall be located within 20 miles of the Prince William County Landfill located at 14811 Dumfries Road in Manassas, Virginia 20112.
