The Contractor shall furnish and install all materials required by this contract. In case of differences between small and large-scale drawings, the latter will govern. Where a portion of the work is drawn in detail and the remainder of the work is indicated in outline, the parts drawn in detail shall apply also to all other portions of the work. Introduction 1. The U.S. Embassy in Ottawa has a requirement to obtain contractor services to screen and recoat the hardwood flooring on the first floor and at the Ambassador's spouse office and to replace the stair runners at the Main House. The contractor is needed to furnish all labor, equipment and materials to complete the proposed work. 2. The residence is located at 1500 Lisgar Road, Ottawa, Canada. protection of persons and property in the neighborhood of the project against such action. The Contracting Officer may require, in writing that the Contractor remove from the work any employee that the Contracting Officer deems incompetent, careless, insubordinate or otherwise objectionable, or whose continued employment on the project is deemed by the Contracting Officer to be contrary to the Government's interests. If the Contractor has knowledge that any actual or potential labor dispute is delaying or threatens to delay the timely performance of this contract, the Contractor shall immediately give notice, including all relevant information, to the Contracting Officer. 3. The Contractor is responsible for safety, and shall comply with all local labor laws, regulations, customs and practices pertaining to labor, safety and similar matters. The Contractor shall promptly report all accidents resulting in lost time, disabling, or fatal injuries to the COR. 4. The Contractor shall be, and shall remain, liable to the Embassy in accordance with applicable law for all damages to the residence caused by the Contractor's negligent performance of any of the services furnished under this contract. The rights and remedies for the Embassy provided for under this contract are in addition to any other rights and remedies provided by law.
