The Contract Documents are intended to identify one (1) complete project. The divisions and sections of the specifications, identifications of any drawing, or naming of any subcontractor is not intended to delineate work performed by any specific trade. The CONSTRUCTOR shall be responsible for assignment of work. The work is further defined as: In preparation for building demolition, this project will remove all identified asbestos-containing materials (ACM) from Campbell Hall. This project has a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses. The participation goal of 10% is specified in the Special Conditions. The project consists of but is not limited to: Asbestos Abatement for the Campbell Hall structure in preparation for demolition. Bids will be received for a unit price contract. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. The Iowa Board of Regents seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Code of Iowa. This project has a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses. The participation goal of 10% is specified in the Special Conditions. The Iowa Board of Regents reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
