The Town of Saint Albans - Department of Public Works (DPW) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for assistance with tree trimming services. Selected companies will provide services on an as needed, on-call basis, commencing on January 20, 2025 and extending through December 31, 2027. The Town of Saint Albans - DPW is seeking qualified tree trimming companies to provide the following services: 1) General tree trimming and removal 2) Crane service for large trees 3) Emergency tree trimming services, as needed To be considered, interested companies shall provide information as described in this RFQ. Selected companies will enter into contracts covering the timeframe listed above. Individual project assignments will be made based on timing, need, and availability. Companies will be required to provide a Certificate of Insurance and W-9 prior to contract signing. A scope of work, schedule, and budget for each individual tree trimming task will be developed cooperatively by the company and the Town of Saint Albans - DPW. The DPW intends to provide equal workloads to all companies on the list to the extent possible, but there is no guarantee this will be achieved. All proposals become the property of the Town of St. Albans upon submission. The cost of preparing, submitting and presenting a proposal is at the sole expense of the company. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received as a result of this solicitation, to negotiate with any qualified source, to waive any formality and any technicalities or to cancel the RFQ in part or in its entirety if it is in the best interest of the Town. This solicitation of proposals in no way obligates the Town to award a contract.
