Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Mineral Ridge, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 12,000-square-foot elderly care / assisted living facility.
**As of March 7, 2025 the project is canceled. Project is no longer needed.** Western Reserve Port Authority -Mahoning County Campus of Care Building 7 Renovations For Compass Family and Community Services 1960 E. County Line Rd. Mineral Ridge, OH 44440 Project includes rehabilitating an existing 12,000 SF single story structure which includes, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire suppression, and architectural reconstruction. Bids shall be based on a lump sum bid in the Form of Proposal. Apparent low bidder must prepare a schedule of values prior to contract award. Bidders shall be responsibility to submit Bids based on all information available. Each bidder is to have performed a pre-bid inspection to examine existing conditions and all surrounding conditions and protections needed affecting the work to be performed. The Architects may receive written RFI's up until Friday, January 31, 2025 at 5:00 P.M. for the purpose of clarifying questions & concerns of prospective bidders with regard to the project and to resolve any difficulties encountered by the bidders in obtaining firm lump sum bids. Please send all RFI's in writing to Kevin Willis at kwillis@strolloarchitects.com. Bids will be accepted for a Single Prime General Contractor (which shall include Plumbing, H.V.A.C., Electrical, and Civil Work) on a lump sum basis as shown on the Drawings and described in the Specifications A bid guaranty is required per Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 153.54, either certified check representing ten percent (10%) of the proposal, drawn on a solvent bank, and payable to Western Reserve Port Authority, or a bid bond in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the proposal in lieu thereof must accompany each proposal as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the Western Reserve Port Authority, in the manner provided by law. Per ORC 153.571, a performance/payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required prior to the award of the contract. Bids of Corporations not chartered in Ohio must be accompanied by proper certifications that such Corporation is licensed to do business in Ohio. The contractor and their subcontractors shall comply with the appropriate minimum prevailing wages set forth by US Dept. of Labor, Davis Bacon. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, sex or national origin. The Owner may also reject all the bids and advertise for other bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after closing time for receipt of bids. The Western Reserve Port Authority shall reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Please indicate the project being bid (Mahoning County Campus of Care, Building 7 Renovations) on the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid.
