Site work and renovation of a civil project in Palo Pinto, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work will consist of electrical and controls design services for the new SBR system. The controls will be integrated into the existing SCADA system on-site. A new Aqua Aerobic sequencing batch reactor system is proposed for improvements to the existing wastewater treatment plant in the northwest area of Palo Pinto in Palo Pinto County, Texas. An electrical SCADA system exists at the site that controls existing equipment. Electrical design services are requested for new electrical equipment proposed within the SBR system along with electrical connections to new submersible pumps in the existing influent lift station. Burgess & Niple, Inc. request the submission of qualification statements which will lead to the possible award of contract to provide Electrical Engineering Service for a project involving Palo Pinto County WWTP Improvements. The WWTP improvements include the construction of a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) unit, including SBR treatment basins, treatment equipment, plant piping, and rehabilitation of the existing lift station. The project will be funded through the Texas Water Development Board's (TWDB) Clean Water (CWSRF) State Revolving Fund and ARPA for Construction Phase services. Execution of a subconsultant contract for this project is contingent upon release of funds from TWDB. This procurement is subject to the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, which includes EPA- approved fair share goals toward procurement of Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) businesses. EPA rules require that applicants and prime contractors make a good faith effort to award a fair share of contracts, subcontracts, and procurements to M/WBEs through demonstration of the six affirmative steps.
