Renovate Sinclair Community College's Building 8 Fieldhouse for the Integrated Technology Education Center (ITEC), to establish a flexible, centralized hub for technology and innovation on the Dayton Campus. This project will include the renovation of 36,000 SF existing space, plus the addition of a new mezzanine level comprising between 5,000 SF and 15,000 SF of new floor space. New construction will include an entrance lobby at the south end of building with drive & parking adjacent to Fourth Street at Robert Drive. The facility will feature modern technology laboratories and is expected to support over 7,500 students annually. The initiative aims to centralize learning and research across multiple disciplines for the convergence of Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). It is designed to prepare students across all academic divisions for a workforce where these technologies are fundamental tools. The new space and all new construction shall meet Sinclair standards for structure, finishes, lighting, etc. with new features and aesthetics being applied. This new Center shall include a data center, student-run SNOC (Security Network Operations Center), space for offices, hoteling, multifunction workstations, think tank, maker spaces, workforce partner spaces, conferences rooms, lounge, flex, and program storage.
