Renovation of a fire / police facility in Adams, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Bids shall be made as described herein, and in accordance with drawings and specifications prepared by Hill-Engineers, Architects, Planners, Inc., Dalton, MA. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site inspection will be held as described in the 'Information to Bidders' section of the Bidding Documents. Presence at the meeting is a prerequisite to submit a bid. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid security in an amount which is not less than five percent 5% of the bid amount in the form of a bid bond or a certified check or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company having offices in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Checks and bid bonds shall be made payable to Adams Fire District. Performance Bond equal to 100% of the contract price and a Labor and Material Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract price. See Section 'Bonds'. All bidders shall comply with minimum wage rates as set forth under the provisions of M.G.L., Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D (Massachusetts Prevailing Wage) inclusive and agree to provide statements of compliance as required D.C.A.M. Certification. Adams Fire District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities. After proposals are opened, no bidder may withdraw the proposal for a period of thirty (30) days.
