Renovation of a fire / police facility in Montreal, Quebec. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 115,130-square-foot, two-story above grade, one-story below grade fire / police facility.
Upgrades and improvements to the de la facility housing the cavalry head-quarters of the Montreal Police Department. The scope of the project includes construction work for the decarbonization of the facility following a structured strategy aimed at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through energy efficiency, electrification, the replacement of fossil fuels with renewable energy, and carbon capture. TIMELINE: The owner is implementing the project by construction packages. First construction package relating to the heating system decarbonization has been already tendered, awarded and is followed in the report under CRM ID name Decarbonisation Work on the Heating System at the SPVM Cavalry. Subsequent package tenders will follow. Construction is underway.
