The City of Janesville, Wisconsin hereby gives notice that it will receive for the following listed Public Work: New and Replacement Sidewalk - For furnishing all of the labor, equipment and materials and doing all of the work necessary for the construction and completion of approximately 21,000 SF of new sidewalk and 5,020 SF of replacement sidewalk at various locations throughout the City of Janesville including associated tree removal, excavation and restoration. The bidder shall have an Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity policy set forth, in part, goals and timetables for the employment of women and minorities in the project area and shall reference FHWA form 1273 under section II.1.b. A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal is discretionary for this project. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. If applicable, Federal Davis Bacon wage rates are included in the Contract Documents, as well as on file in the City Clerk's Office. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the actual date of the bid opening
