** As of 3/12/2025 project has been awarded to Maddrell Excavating, LLC with an awarded amount $2,432,974.01.** The City of Janesville, Wisconsin hereby gives notice that it will receive bids for the following listed Public Work: Water & Sewer System Improvements II - For furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary for the construction of the following approximate quantities: 8,400 LF of 4"-8" replacement water main; 240 LF of 8" sanitary sewer (replacement or extension); 100 LF of 12" replacement storm sewer; replacement of 70 lead water services; replacement or rehabilitation of 65 sanitary structures, storm structures, and storm inlets; installation or replacement of four (4) valves on existing water mains; and associated street and nonpaved surface restoration. For furnishing all of the labor, equipment and materials and doing all of the work necessary for the construction and completion of approximately 21,000 SF of new sidewalk and 5,020 SF of replacement sidewalk at various locations throughout the City of Janesville including associated tree removal, excavation and restoration. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. If applicable, Federal Davis Bacon wage rates are included in the Contract Documents, as well as on file in the City Clerk's Office. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the actual date of the bid opening.
