Summary of work: Removal of the existing roofing at the uppermost tower roof and re-roofing of approximately 3000 square feet, which includes (4) roof turrets, (three of which will be re-roofed, the 4th one is a mechanical shaft) and an elevator machine room with all new roofing system materials, flashings, insulation, downspouts, and all other related components required to complete the project. Removal of the inside face of the existing wall coating over the existing masonry wall parapets, new tuck pointing of the masonry, sealing & painting of these parapet walls and sealing & painting the existing elevator penthouse walls. Includes new perimeter guard rail system at (8) existing parapet openings with structurally anchored top and mid-rail system, designed to meet current building code requirements and historic building recommendations. Includes new permanent bidder designed and engineered fall protection anchorage system for maintenance and safety and for use with installing the new roofing and guard rail system. . Attempt to increase the local share of total construction to at least 30%; and 2.
