Hill, DES Project Manager/Owner's Representative, michele.hill@des.wa.gov. This project includes the replacement of aging utility infrastructure across a portion of the Fort Steilacoom campus in the general vicinity of the south entrance bordered by parking lot D, the extent of parking lot C, and between the Cascade and Health Education Buildings at the core of campus. The area around the Cascade and Health Education Buildings is congested with underground active and abandoned utilities, some dating back to the first phase of campus development in the early 1970s. There is also an active sewer gravity main and sewer force main within the project footprint that serves the entire campus and must remain in operation throughout the project. The Owner/DES will work with the selected Design-Build team to optimize value to the Owner. The Owner/DES fully embrace a collaborative project delivery that emphasizes a cooperative approach to problem solving. The Owner/DES expect the team contributes its best efforts for the benefit of the Project.
