The City of Wilson is receiving proposals for from firms for large meter inspection and testing services in select portions of the City's distribution system. Selection of a qualified contractor will be based on qualifications and price. Approximately 80 meters need to have the following performed: o Measure flowrates and calibrate the meters to AWWA M6 Manual o For failing meter flow tests, contact the Water Meter Coordinator such that a repair can be made by City staff. o Confirm meter size o Inspect and report on the condition of meter enclosure, supports, and ancillary equipment. Report template/format to be submitted to the City of Wilson for approval prior to use. o Assess the meters for rehabilitation or replacement. The contractor shall keep themselves fully informed of all Federal, State, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations. The City will evaluate proposals based upon qualifications and price. Initial contract may be extended renewed for an additional four (4) years without readvertisement. Only sealed proposals will be accepted; no e-mail submittals accepted; however, this is not a public bid opening. The outside of the sealed envelope shall be clearly marked "Large Meter Inspection and Testing Services". All proposals shall be submitted: One original and 3 copies.
