Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Derby, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The project is briefly described as follows: Construction of five softball fields, concessions building, restroom building, improvements to Line Drive, and gateway signage. The last day for questions is Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Answers to questions will be provided by Addendum and transmitted electronically to pre-qualified contractors via Newforma no later than Monday, January 20, 2025. The OWNER has pre-qualified contractors for the project. Only bids from the pre- qualified contractors will be considered. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal. Checks are to be made payable to the City of Derby and drawn on a solvent Kansas Bank or Trust company. These checks or bonds are to be retained by the City Clerk until the contract for the project is awarded. A performance BOND and a payment BOND, each in the amount of 100 percent of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The OWNER may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all BIDS. Any BID may be withdrawn prior to the above schedule time for the opening of BIDS or authorized postponement thereof. Any BID received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No BIDDER may withdraw a BID within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Should there be reasons why the contract can not be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the OWNER and the BIDDER.
