Renovation of a mixed-use development in Saint Augustine Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and museum.

The City of St. Augustine is seeking qualified contractors to install 242 windows and reglaze 88 windows in the Alcazar/Lightner building located at 75 King Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084, to include but not limited to the items listed below. Contractors are required to comply with each requirement listed herein, specifically all grant requirements as required by the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Historical Resources (Attachment #3). The location of work to be performed in the building is attached in the City Hall and Lightner Museum Window Replacement Report (Attachment #2). Specifications for Dowsil 790 Silicone Building Sealant is attached (Exhibt A-1). All Kolbe Ultra Series windows have been purchased and will be provided, reduced out of the grant amount of $1,562,500.00 (Attachment #3) . This is the final phase of the window replacement project that began in 2001 at the Historic Alcazar Hotel, now used as St. Augustine City Hall and the Lightner Museum. Approximately 260 windows identical to those in this project were installed prior to 2008. The majority of windows in this project will be installed in a manner identical to those already replaced, i.e. from the interior and inset within the concrete opening with only a caulk, Dowsil 790, joint between the window and the concrete. Special circumstances will require some windows to be installed differently as noted below. Each Proposal must be accompanied by a Proposal guaranty in the form of a Proposal bond or cashier's check, payable to the City, for five percent (5%) of the "Total Proposal Cost" indicated on the Proposal. Cash will not be accepted. The Proposal bond must be written through a licensed Florida agency with a company licensed to do business in the State of Florida and meeting the requirements of the Agreement. The guarantee must provide that the Proposal will remain firm for sixty (60) days after the designated date and hour of the Proposal opening; that if the Proposal is accepted, Respondent must enter into a contract with the City in accordance with the Agreement; and that Respondent will provide any required performance and payment bonds and certificates of insurance.
