The City of Craig is seeking a highly functional design that is cost effective and durable. Preferred material source is 6x6 treated wooden timbers or concrete steps. The proposed steps will be built on a hillside which is composed of organic earth material. Contractors shall include adequate steps to reach the bottom of hillside where ground is even and allows for a safe transition from steps. Design must meet commercial and local requirements for riser, step height, tread depth, stair width, tread surface and handrail specifications. Interested contractors are highly encouraged to perform an in-person assessment of the project prior to submitting a bid. All interested contractors must submit a detailed design and material plan along with a complete bid proposal.
