The Moffat County Road Department is asking for bids on approximately 600,000 gallons of Magnesium Chloride (MgC12), F.O.B. Moffat County, Colorado, priced per gallon in place Furnish 2 distributor trucks equipped with a pressurized spray bars capable of uniformly distributing the magnesium chloride on a variable width surface at a predetermined and controlled rate from 0.1 to 0.6 gallon per square yard. Distributor must be capable of spraying up to a 24' section of road with motion wings Distribution equipment shall include a computerized display measuring instrument, tachometer, bar pressure gauge, flow rate gauge, radar controlled travel speed display measuring feet per minute and accurate volume measuring display. Distributor trucks shall be equipped with a power unit for the pump and full circulation spray bar with adjustable widths. Magnesium Chloride will be applied by contractor to various locations throughout Moffat County, Colorado.
