Renovation of an educational facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Reference Number 0000395908 Construction Budget: $8,122,626.00 Intent of this project is to provide a design to seismically upgrade Bldg. 525, including correcting structural deficiencies. This also includes modifications to architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems to accommodate the addition of structural lateral force resisting systems. Special Constraints: Existing facility (Bldg. 525) is operational and occupied during the design and construction. Ensuring infection control and patient safety in a active hospital. (i.e. use of HEPA carts required while investigating above ceilings) Understanding the existing outdated infrastructure. Consider advance notice to facilities for utility shutdowns that would require a P.A.C.E. plan. Consideration of phasing out construction activities or sections of hospital during construction. PPE (scrubs or other) required during investigation of sensitive areas or clinics. Advance notification for field investigation is required.
