Scope of Work: Under these Specifications the Contractor shall perform all construction work located along 4th Street, Wilkerson Avenue, and Redlands Avenue in accordance with these specifications and the contract drawings. The work comprises of utilizing owner furnished materials (List of materials shown in Bidding Sheets BS-1) to construct approximately 282LF of 8-inch diameter gravity sewer line and 467LF of 10-inch diameter gravity sewer line located in 4th Street with 6 standard manholes, connections to existing sewer mains, approximately 47LF of 8-inch diameter gravity sewer line located at the intersection of Wilkerson Avenue and 4th Street with connections to existing sewer mains, approximately 27LF of 8-inch diameter gravity sewer line located at the intersection of Redlands Avenue and 4th Street with connections to existing sewer mains, and the decommissioning and demolition of an existing in-manhole lift station including pumps, valve vault, above ground improvements, wet well, force main, electrical and instrumentation. All related work includes night work throughout the duration of the Project; coordination regarding pipeline connections and field start-up and testing; implementation of required BMPs during construction; implementation of traffic control during construction per City of Perris encroachment permit requirements and approved traffic control plans; pavement restoration; bypass pumping system for connecting to existing manholes; coordinate system shutdown of the existing lift station to decommission. The shutdown of the lift station shall occur after the successful installation and approval of the proposed sewer gravity mains.
