DFCM Construction-Pre-Qualified Mechanical-MTECH Provo Boiler Replacement-Phase 5 The State of Utah - Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is requesting bids for the construction of the following project: MTECH Provo Boiler Replacement-Phase 5 Mountainland Technical College Provo, Utah Project Description: MTECH has asked for assistance in replacing two boilers, some pumps, controls, and other related equipment in the mechanical penthouse on their Provo Campus. The new equipment will need to be tied into the existing building Utah Yamas DDC control System. The base bid will consist of all work as outlined in the plans and specifications. Construction Cost Estimate: $500,000.00 Only Firms Pre-qualified During Stage I of the RFS Are Allowed to Bid on This Project The Work includes: a. Replace the existing heating water boilers with 3 new modular high efficiency boilers 1) There are concerns that the existing boilers may not make it through the winter. The intent is to change the boilers in the spring, but to order the new boilers as soon as possible and store on site. Then if the existing boiler fails completely before spring, the replacement can be expedited with the boilers already on site, or one of the new boilers could potentially be used as a temporary to get through the winter. b. Replace the existing heating water pumps and piping and upgrade to a primary secondary pumping system c. Replace the existing domestic water heater d. Upgrade the boiler plant controls and tie into the existing Utah Yamas Struxureware head end
