This is a barrier removal project spread over two phases. Accessibility upgrades include a new sloped concrete floor for the front half of the room, new distributed accessible seating areas and a fully accessible stage. Additional scope includes seating replacement for the front half of the room, targeted room finishes upgrades, adjustments to the mechanical and electrical systems to accommodate the sloped floor, lighting spotlights, audiovisual technology integration and teaching wall improvement. The fixed seating will be owner furnished and owner installed. The general contractor will be responsible for coordinating delivery timing, providing a clean, clear and ready job site, a clear path to the work area and lay down space for furniture product during installation. The first phase of the project will include a premobilization coordination and submittals phase, during which the contactor will submit all submittals and confirm site dimensions. The second phase will be mobilization and site construction. Project Phasing in accordance with Specification Section 01 32 80 Prospective bidders arriving late after the published start time, will not be allowed to participate in the Site Tour. Only bidders who participate in the Pre-Bid Conference and Site Tour in its entirety, will be allowed to bid on the Project as prime contractors. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: "B" - General Contractor The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements
