Closing Time: 12:00 PM (NT) Storm Damage Repairs at Various Locations on the Bonavista Peninsula Part A: Storm Damage Repairs R230-17, km 1.0 to km 1.2, Champney’s West Part B: Storm Damage Repairs R230-21, km 3.0 to km 3.2, English Harbour Part C: Storm Damage Repairs R230-21, km 4.0, English Harbour The Work will be substantially performed within 1.0 months from the date of notification of award of contract or 20 February 2025, whichever is later. Contractors are advised the PROJECT shall include, but will not be limited to, the scope as outlined in the following summary. Part "A": Storm Damage Repairs R230-17, km 1.0 to km 1.2. Champney's West Mobilize to site. Establish traffic control as required at site, Remove damaged guide rail, Minor excavation and removal of excess beach material, Placement of class III hydraulic rip rap to bulk and/or replace existing armour stone along the shoreline, Placement of rock fill to re-establish road shoulders, Replace guide rail and buried end, Place granular A shouldering along both sides of the roadway, General site clean up and demobilize. The cross section at this location shall be similar to an RLU 60 except that the asphalt and shoulder widths shall match existing conditions. Part "B": Storm Damage Repairs R230-21, km 3.0 to km 3.2. English Harbour Mobilize to site. Establish traffic control as required at site, Excavation and removal of excess beach material to provide trench for armour stone placement, Salvage existing armour stones and hydraulic rip rap rock for re-use, Placement of salvaged and new armour stone and hydraulic class III rip rap along the shoreline, Placement of rock fill to re-establish road shoulders. Place granular A shouldering along shoreline side of the roadway, General site clean up and demobilize. Part "C": Storm Damage Repairs R230-21, km 4.0, English Harbour Mobilize to site, Establish traffic control as required at site, Placement of armour stone and class III hydraulic rip rap to bulk and/or replace existing armour stone protecting the existing box culvert outlet, General site clean up and demobilize.
