The City of Auburn, Sangamon County, Illinois, Auburn will receive sealed letters of interest from qualiied irms of licensed design professionals to assist the City with preparing a Request for Proposal for a new public safety building to be located at 720 W. Jackson, Auburn, IL 62615, pursuant to the Illinois Design-Build Authorization Act (65 ILCS 5/11-39.2-1, et seq.), in accordance herein. Letters of interest must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked in the lower left-hand corner: RFQ, City Police Department HQ OPENING: February 3, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. A bid deposit is not required. The City desires for the selected firm, if any, to assist the City in ensuring that a preliminary request for proposal for design-build services prepared by the City includes all necessary requirements under the Illinois Design-Build Authorization Act (see 65 ILCS 5/11-39.2-15, and 11-39.2-20), including ensuring that sufficient detail and adequate information is included so as to reasonably apprise qualified design-build entities and professionals ofthe Citys overall programmatic needs and goals, criteria and preliminary design plans, general budget parameters, construction schedule, and delivery requirements. The City also desires that the selected firm, if any, assist the City with including the scope and type of renderings, drawings, and specifications that, at a minimum, will be required by the City in drafting and preparing said request for proposal to be put out for competitive bid.
