Introduction: Amtrak is accepting Letters of Interest for New York Penn Station (NYP) Level A, Level B, and Level C Amtrak Police Department suites and the Hilton Corridor Construction. Responses are to include qualification information requested/stated below and be limited to twenty (20) one-sided typed pages. Amtrak, at its sole discretion and without discussion, will determine which Contractors are to be added to its short list for the forthcoming Request for Proposal. ONLY Contractors that can meet the minimum qualifications listed below should E-MAIL a Letter of Interest including the qualifications stated below on company letterhead to: Shermaine Manifold, Contracting Official Amtrak/National Railroad Passenger Corporation Email: Shermaine.manifold@amtrak.com The objective of this project is to implement comprehensive security upgrades within the New York Penn Station APD (Amtrak Police Department) suites and the Hilton Corridor. The space encompasses the APD Storefront, APD Administration Wing, APD Chief's Office, APD Command Center, Fire Chief's Office, IT Office, COMM Room, and Mechanical Room. The work will be conducted in six (6) phases, with crews consolidated within the area and renovations performed on unused spaces. The selected construction firm will be responsible for executing the work and construction required by the Construction Documents. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Interior remodeling of the APD Storefront. Installation of new CCTV systems and monitoring stations. Implementation of new access control systems. Installation of new lighting. Installation of new sliding and coiling gates. Replacement of doors and hardware. Infrastructure hardening measures. It is anticipated that a Solicitation for this procurement construction will begin in the first quarter of 2025, and that construction will begin in Spring of 2025. Statement of Qualifications shall include the below and must include Amtrak's Contractor Qualification Form 59 (attached): Name of Firm (if a single entity) or Joint Venture Partners and significant subcontractors. The Name, Title, and Contact information of the Authorized Representative / Single Point-of-Contact for the SOQ. Presentation of resume / qualifications of Project Manager(s), site super(s) & safety and quality manager(s) demonstrating successful management of cross discipline, multi-year construction projects. Demonstration of the firm's successful experience in the construction / rehabilitation of transportation hub projects over the past 10 years. Please include the scope of work, type and percent of contract self-performed, contract amount, schedule duration and Contact name and phone number. Demonstration that the firm has experience coordinating with multiple agencies. Demonstration that the firm has adequate resources for the construction project. Demonstration that the firm has successfully completed projects within a fully operational and occupied facility.
