The work shall consist of, but not limited to installation of new acoustical wall and ceiling product, installation and anchorage of new furniture partition, replacement of 2 sets of double doors, new flooring, painting and improvement of accessibility. The work will take place within the specified area designated within this contract's documents. Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the Los Rios Community College District (District) will accept electronically submitted bids through the online system for a lump sum contract according to the specifications prepared for Los Rios Community College District and described in general as: SCC CDC_Acoustical Improvement Project Bid # 25000. The work shall consist of, but not limited to installation of new acoustical wall and ceiling product, installation and anchorage of new furniture partition, replacement of 2 sets of double doors, new flooring, painting and improvement of accessibility. The work will take place within the specified area designated within this contract's documents. APN# 013-0010-013-0000 . This video will review Los Rios Community College District's documents and document upload process. *Digital Signatures Gov. Code 16.5 defines a digital signature. Los Rios CCD will accept digital signatures that meet the requirements listed on the state's website For example, documents signed using Docusign or Adobe Acrobat to affix digital signature and date are acceptable as both provide a unique digital certificate each time a document is signed. Specifically Bid Affirmation; Contractor Qualifications; Non-Collusion; Statement of Compliance; uploaded to PlanetBids that have been signed with a pen, or applying a picture of a signature, or scanned after the document was digitally signed will cause the bid to be rejected for nonresponsiveness. The Contractor shall include in the bid all labor, tools, transportation, equipment, services, incidentals, taxes and materials for a complete working project in conformance with the Contract Documents. The estimated construction cost of this project is $612,000.00 (Six Hundreds Twelve Thousands Dollars). The time allowed for completion is 60 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Work to be performed under the Contract Documents requires a California State License Board LICENSE B, General Contractor license. Effective July 1, 2014, all contractors and subcontractors who intend to bid on or perform work on public works projects must register and pay a fee to the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and provide evidence of registration for contract award. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. All interested parties should report to Campus Police Department to obtain a temporary parking permit and directions to the job walk location. Parking permit is required. The meet up location is: Sacramento City College, 3835 Freeport Boulevard Sacramento, CA 95822, in front of Police Department . Requests for information (RFIs): Any and all questions must be submitted through the website system by no later than Friday, January 24, 12PM (PST). The District is not responsible for or liable to Bidders for: (i) inaccessibility of the online portal; or (ii) untimely, incomplete or inaccurate data submitted through the online portal. Bid Security - Bid Bond/Cash/Cashiers/Certified check: Bid security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price must be submitted by uploading either an electronic bid bond or digitally signed bond to the District on the online portal. Alternatively, the bidder may provide original bond, cash, certified check, or cashier's check so that it is received in the District's Procurement Office at the below address before stated bid open date and time. A surety, duly admitted to do business in the State of California by the California State Insurance Commissioner, must issue bid bonds. If submitting a digitally signed bond, a duly authorized principal of the bidder must digitally sign the bid bond. If bidder is providing original bond to District a duly authorized principal of the bidder must affix original signature. Send using United Parcel Service (UPS) only so bonds are delivered during receiving hours 8 am to noon, Monday - Friday. No walk-in, hand carry or other delivery service can be accepted. Sacramento, CA 95825 Each bidder must submit a bid to the District on the online system and upload the forms provided in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must be able to bond 100% of the project cost and will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds with the executed Contract Documents. Pursuant to section 1770, and following, of the California Labor Code, the Contractor shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. Copies of such prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file at the General Services Office of the Los Rios Community College District, 1919 Spanos Court, Sacramento, CA 95825. Those copies shall be made available to any interested party upon request. Independent of any other liability that may attach or be assessed, the Contractor shall forfeit, as penalty to the Los Rios Community College District, Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for each calendar day or portion thereof, for each worker paid less than the stipulated prevailing rates, with Certifiable Payroll, for any work done under the contract by him/her or by any subcontractor under him, in violation of the provisions of such Labor Code. Pursuant to section 22300 of the Public Contract Code, the Contractor may substitute a deposit of securities in lieu of the Los Rios Community College District withholding any moneys to ensure Contractor's performance under the Contract, or alternatively, request that the Los Rios Community College District make payment of retentions earned directly to Banner Bank as the escrow agent at the expense of Contractor pursuant to the escrow instructions included herein. The provisions of Public Contract Code section 22300 are incorporated herein by reference as though set forth in full, and shall govern the substitution of securities and/or escrow account. Project Completion Date: Once Notice to Proceed is given, the Contractor will have Sixty (60) days to complete the installation. C.
