The Bridgeport Public Schools (BPS) Facilities Department seeks to enter into a contract with a qualified contractor to remove approximately 14,800 square feet of existing, furnish and install new ceiling tiles. The successful bidder, prior to permission to proceed, will be required to post a payment bond of 100% of the contract price if the contract price is in excess of $100,000, and a performance bond, for 100% of the contract price, if the bid is $50,000.00, or more except that performance bonds from MBE's will only be required on projects that are $100,000.00 or more. Include with the submitted bid, a ten (10%) percent bid bond or a certified check made payable to the City of Bridgeport with its bid submission if the bid is $50,000.00 or more, except for bids from MBE's, for which a bid bond is required on bids that are $100,000 or more. Note: Work to be completed during April Break, Saturday April 11th- Sunday, April 20th, 2025 The Contractor will be required to place a reasonable schedule, including time frame to procure and deliver Equipment, attached to Bid Form. In the event that the schedule will be exceeded based upon parts availability or circumstances beyond Contractor's control, it is the Contractor's responsibility to inform the BOE Facilities Manager of the delay.
