**As of April 28, 2025, the project was awarded to D&R General Contracting, Inc, with an awarded amount of $1,595,855.70.** The work under this Item shall include the removal and disposal of all types of existing curbs, all types of existing pavements, sidewalks and driveways, iron castings not designated to be reused or reset, catch basins and drain manholes scheduled for demolishing; edging, fences of all types, signs, sign posts, and all other materials not classified and paid for under other items. Bids will be opened at the Water/Sewer Business Office located at 16C Perry Way, Newburyport, MA 01950. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The bidding and award of this contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L Chapter 30,39M. Contract award is subject to the approval of the Mayor. The City reserves the right to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all bids or take whatever other action may be deemed necessary to be in the best interest of the City.
