Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a residential development in Elk City, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
The City of Elk City is looking for an independent Contractor with a crew and the necessary equipment needed for demolition and abatement of properties located in the city limits of Elk City. The length of this contract will run through January 31 , 2026. Please place a bid on the following: Demolition price per sq ft, based on structure size, for the primary house on property and any secondary house that may be on the property. $ Demolition price per sq ft, based on structure size, for garages, attached or detached, barns, shops or sheds, and any other accessory type building on the property. $ This price will need to include these City requirements: (1) Removal of all concrete slabs, footings, porches, cellars and walkways. (2) Removal of fences, vehicles, and other large trash on property. Trees near structures will be removed as needed. (3) Level and bring lot to grade with appropriate water runoff drainage. (4) Backfi ll lot with select dirt as needed to create a clean fl at maintainable lot. The City utilizes what is known as a Reclamation Landfi ll and there are strict DEQ guidelines that will also need to be followed and fi gured in the bid price. (1) Clean out and dispose of all appliances, furniture, clothing, trash and contents necessary for appropriate landfi ll site. (2) Maintain the DEQ Reclamation landfi ll site, provide equipment and operator to push debris into canyon and keep site in clear operational condition. This is to be maintained as needed and/ or required by DEQ. The Contractor will also be responsible for associated landfill fees that may be connected to items not going to the Reclamation Landfill. Additional compensation for unique situations will be discussed and a mutual agreement decided on. Additional requirements of no cost items will be discussed with the City Inspector if awarded this contract. If awarded, Contractor must provide Proof of Workman's Compensation Insurance or Certificate of Exemption, and Proof of Liability Insurance.
