Site work for a mixed-use development in Natick, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for site work for a educational facility.
This is a two-part request; FY25 is the design fee, and FY26 is the early estimate for the construction of a new synthetic turf field with lighting. A google earth picture of the location is below. The NPS request, with support from some Natick youth sports groups, DPW, and the REC Department, is to convert the practice field between the Memorial field DPW building into a synthetic turf area that can be used for games and up to three teams practicing simultaneously. The early estimate is based off experience with field projects from Matthew Gillis, William Spratt and Jon Marshall. A written quote estimate can be obtained in the near future. This estimate also includes the cost to replace the lights at the Memorial Field. As of January 13, 2024, this project is included in the Town of Natick's FY 2026-2030 CIP and funding is allotted for FY 2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
