Work includes removal of existing cement mortar lining and application of new 5/8"-thick cement mortar lining, in-place, for approximately 7,500 linear feet of above ground 67-inch diameter steel pipe; removal of pipe spool pieces and installation of new pipe spool pieces, for cement mortar lining removal and application work; installation of new aqueduct manholes for cement mortar lining removal and application work; removal and installation of expansion joint packing material; repair 15,500 linear feet of north and south access roads; and installation of approximately 2,350 linear feet of access road improvements... This project will require multiple trades and types of work; for example (note: this list is not all inclusive): demolition, hazardous materials handling, grading, coatings, bolting, welding, pipeline, crane equipment, trucking, and other required work and trades. Bidders shall have an active Class A license from the Contractors' State License Board at the time of submitting bid. All work covered by the contract shall be completed within three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. A bidder's bond of not less than 10 percent of the total bid dollar amount is required. Performance and payment bonds for not less than 100 percent of the contract price are required. As provided in Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code of the State of California, the Contractor may substitute securities for monies withheld by the District to ensure performance of the work.
