Summer 2025 Meter Project Site Directions: This project will cover the eastern part of Clinton City east of 1000 West. Est. Value: $ 1,880,000.00 Est. Completion Date: Oct. 15, 2025 Description: The project consists of furnishing all labor and materials for the removal of the existing secondary connections and installing Owner-supplied boxes, and lids. The project will be installed within a six-month time period. The total number of meters is approximately 1,600, but will vary depending on bid prices. Also included in the project is excavation to fully expose the existing service lateral (which may be the entire stretch between curb and sidewalk), the removal of the existing service, imported gravel material, installation of the meter box 4 inches from the back of curb, connecting to existing pipes (even adjusting homeowner's shutoff valve if needed to allow everything to fit properly without excessive fittings), and restoring landscaping/site as it was prior to the project. If the existing compression fitting causes the pit to be greater than 4 inches from back of curb, then the contractor is responsible for the removal and replacement of the compression fitting and installing the new fitting.
