Site work for a civil project in Bullhead City, Arizona. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The city is requesting bids to outfit a new well site and build a transmission pipeline from the wellsite to the Big Bend Tank Site. The new 20-1 Well has been drilled and cased. A block wall enclosure has been built around the wellsite. The Contractor will supply all materials, supplies, parts, labor, and equipment to complete the well site according to plans and specifications. The Contractor will complete the concrete well pad and base around the new well casing. The Contractor will set the well pump, column piping, vertical shaft, discharge head, vertical 500 horsepower hollow shaft motor, and related above ground 16" piping and accessories including a new flow meter with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition connection. The Contractor will trench and install the 16" underground piping on the well site per plans and specifications. The Contractor shall trench and install all electrical conduit and wiring underground per electrical drawings and specifications. The Contractor will install the city-supplied generator and transfer switch and wire to the electrical drawings and specifications. The Contractor will supply and install all additional electrical components and controls not supplied by the city. The Contractor will supply and install a line shaft oil lubrication system and National Sanitation Foundation oil drum with stand. The Contractor will supply and install the transmission main between the 20-1 well site and the Big Bend storage tank. Coordination between the water system manager and the Contractor will be required for any interruption of service at the Big Bend Tank site. Traffic control plans have been prepared by West Coast Civil for this portion of the project. Trenching and asphalt repairs will be required. All testing required by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality for acceptance of the well and transmission main will be the responsibility of the Contractor and must be witnessed by a city utilities inspector. The Contractor will supply materials and labor to install all additional site improvements per drawings and specifications including an entrance driveway, site pads, eyewash station and associated plumbing and landscaping. The chlorine injection building and injection system are specifically excluded from this contract. The City has contracted with Mohave Electric Company (MEC) to supply a transformer to the site. The Contractor will supply materials and supplies, excluding the transformer, and wire for this bid item. Trenching and asphalt repair across Riverview Drive will be required. An encroachment permit and traffic control plan will be required. The Contractor will be required to coordinate the transformer installation with the City and MEC. The City has contracted with Empire Caterpillar to supply a 600 kilowatt generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS). The Contractor will be responsible for offloading and installation of the City-supplied equipment. Start-up testing is included in the contract with Empire Caterpillar. The Contractor will be responsible for the concrete pad and all other materials and supplies to install the generator and ATS. The City has contracted with Mountain West Precast & Construction to supply and set a prefabricated concrete electrical building. The Contractor will be responsible for site preparation per plans and specifications. Mountain West will supply the crane and set the building. The Contractor will be required to coordinate the building installation with Mountain West and the City. Additional concrete work around the building will be the responsibility of the Contractor. All items in the plans and specifications not specifically included in this project description are to be assumed to be provided by the Contractor. Prior to contract completion, the Contractor shall demonstrate the operation of the well to Bullhead City Utilities maintenance staff and provide a flow measurement to verify accuracy of the new flow meter.
