As of January 29, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on February 10th, 2025. Project DPW-2511 for which proposals are being sought includes the overlaying of approximately 39,283 feet (7.44 miles) of residential streets (14,538 tons of HMA Surface and Binder courses), curb and gutter removal and replacement (18,456 feet), installation of new curbs and/or gutters (21,091 feet), HMA surface removal (115,375 square yards), and other associated work. A current IDOT Certificate of Eligibility, with work category 003 Hot-Mix Asphalt (HMA) Plant Mix listed, must be received before 12:00 p.m. CST, January 27, 2025 at email, for Bid to be considered. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or bank draft in an amount equal to five percent of the bid, payable to the Village of Palatine, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute a contract and furnish a contract bond as set forth in the Project Documents. In case the bidder fails to file such contract and bond, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Village of Palatine as liquidated damages. The Village of Palatine reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to accept any proposal which the Village Council deems most favorable to the interests of the Village. Resurfacing of existing pavements, including HMA surface removal, concrete curb & gutter replacement, drainage structure repairs, pavement patching, HMA binder and surface courses, grass restoration, and pavement markings.
