Site work for an elderly care / assisted living facility in Copperas Cove, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.

Introduction The Senior Center Grading project will involve various site preparations, including grading the existing site, excavating earth, preparing the site for foundation work, and pouring concrete foundations. Additionally, the project will include the construction of retaining walls, curbing, and adjustments to utilities. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, conducting testing, and providing all labor, materials, machinery, equipment, and environmental protection required to complete the project successfully. General Project Description/Requirements The professional shall coordinate and execute all tasks outlined in the Civil Drawings o Grade the site to achieve the desired elevations and slopes as per the site grading plan. o Ensure proper drainage away from structures, complying with engineering specifications. o Compact graded areas as specified to achieve required densities. o Implement erosion control measures during excavation and grading to prevent siltation into adjacent areas. o Install sediment traps, silt fences, or other BMPs (Best Management Practices) as necessary. o Minimize disturbance to existing vegetation and habitat when possible. Any questions or requests for clarification must be submitted to the Finance Office, in writing, prior to 12:00 p.m., January 28,2025 via email to Stephanie Potvin, spotvin@copperascovetx.gov. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security made payable to the OWNER, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the BIDDER's maximum bid price and in the form of a Bid Bond issued by an acceptable surety, cashier's check, or certified check. AWARD OF CONTRACT OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time or changes in the work and to negotiate contract terms with the successful BIDDER, and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids. Also, OWNER reserves the right to reject the bid of any BIDDER if OWNER believes that it would not be in the best interest of the project to make an award to that BIDDER, whether because the bid is not responsive or the BIDDER is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by OWNER. BIDDER agrees that the Work covered by the Base Bid will be substantially completed within 90 calendar days after the date the Contract Time commences to run and finally completed within 110 calendar days after commencement. Bidder accepts the provisions of the agreement as to liquidated damages in the event of failure to complete the Work on time. The City reserves the right to award the bid to either the lowest responsible bidder or to the bidder who provides goods or services at the best value for the City, in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code.
