Construction is expected to be completed at the first location on October 30, 2025, and at the last location in December of 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Chico invites prospective respondents to submit proposals to provide a red-light enforcement program. The City of Chico is located in the northern Sacramento Valley of California with a population of 109,589 and approximately 47,300 housing units. Chico geographically encompasses over 34 square miles, with Highway 99 and Highway 32 feeding into the City, and 321.9 miles of streets. The City of Chico does not currently have a red-light camera enforcement program in place. The City wishes to utilize the technology to reduce traffic collisions, encourage voluntary compliance with traffic laws, and create a safer environment within the City of Chico. The number of intersections to be monitored will not be determined until after the selected Consultant has completed an intersection analysis to establish need based on safety. The selected program must comply with California law. Proposals must be submitted in accordance with the conditions outlined in this Request for Proposal (RFP). Questions and Requests for Information regarding the project must be submitted through the Public Purchase bid site. Responses to questions will be posted on the bid site. Questions and Request for Information must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. fourteen (14) calendar days prior to proposal due date. Responses to questions timely submitted will be answered within seven (7) calendar days of the proposal due date. Depending on the number of questions, the City reserves the right to amend the schedule as necessary. Consultant submittal package shall include one (1) original proposal sealed in an envelope and labeled, and one USB drive with the proposal available in PDF format. Both shall be delivered, together, according to the options below. All submittals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope or package clearly marked with the Consultant's name and "2025 - Red-Light Enforcement System RFP" on the outside of the envelope.
