Dakota County and the City of Lakeville will construct a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of County Road 50 (202nd Street W.) and Hamburg Avenue. The county completed an intersection evaluation in December 2023. The evaluation recommended to reconstruct the existing intersection into a single-lane roundabout. The traffic volumes, vehicle crash history and the type of crashes observed support the recommendation. Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2025. Tentative Project Line: Summer-fall 2024: Preliminary engineering December 2024: Public open house #1 Winter 2024: Final design and right of way acquisition Spring 2025: Public open house #2 Spring 2025: Advertise for construction Summer 2025: Begin construction This project is included in the City's 2025-2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
