The location of the work is on Race Track Road in Berwick Township, Adams County. Work generally consists of the following: Furnish equipment, labor and materials required to complete in place: mill/overlay 2" in depth over 26,400 SY with 12.5mm wearing course. Additional work includes, but is not limited to, full depth base repair, shoulder repair, storm sewer crossing replacement, driveway tie-ins, installation of three (3) speed tables, asphalt shoulder back-up, line painting, and site restoration. All quantities are m/l. All work and material shall be in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Publication 408 and its Supplements. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the Bid amount, made payable to Berwick Township. The contract for work under this Bid will obligate the Contractor, and any Subcontractors, not to discriminate in employment practices and to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and any other such Federal and State requirements presented in bid documents. The Contractor, upon notification of Intent to Award, shall provide to the Owner, Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total contract amount, as well as proof of worker's compensation insurance. Berwick Township as the contracting owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids or to waive any irregularities.
