Boiler Repair and Supplies The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a source for the repair of a Burnham Boiler o Remove 112 - 3" Tubes and clean all 112 tube holes. o Contractor must remove exhaust box on the rear of the boiler. o There must be a penetrant dye test before any tubes are reinstalled to verify that there are no cracks in the tube sheet. o Install new tubes in both tube sheets and roll both ends with bell roller (112 - 3"tubes provided by the contractor) o Contractor will schedule a Hartford Steam Inspector onsite to witness the Hydrostatic Test of the boiler o The boiler will be closed with new gaskets upon successful testing. (Provided by the contractor) o A combustion test and 50- point safety check of the limits will be performed. o All work will be completed per the R-stamp procedures and SCDC will receive a copy of all the documents once the other project is complete. SCDC is seeking a contractor to provide the supplies and repair services to replace tubes on a boiler. Sub-Contracting not permitted. Offers may be withdrawn by written notice received at any time before the exact time set for opening. If the Solicitation authorizes facsimile offers, offers may be withdrawn via facsimile received at any time before the exact time set for opening. A bid may be withdrawn in person by a bidder or its authorized representative if, before the exact time set for opening, the identity of the person requesting withdrawal is established and the person signs a receipt for the bid. Any deficiency resulting from a minor informality may be cured or waived at the sole discretion of the Procurement Officer. [02-2B127-1]
