A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the above grade demolition and disposal of the remaining 74,000 square feet of an existing approximately 116,000 square-foot single story mixed use building constructed of steel and wood framing and miscellaneous appurtenances, including but not limited to an aboveground storage tank (AST) and its enclosure building and three transformers. Completion time for the project will be calculated as calendar days from the date specified in the "Notice to Proceed" as follows: 90 Calendar Days for substantial completion. 120 Calendar Days for final completion. Liquidated damages will be in the amount of $1,500, for each calendar day of delay from the date established for substantial completion, and $1,500 for each calendar day of delay from the date established for final completion. Each General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid Price. The successful Bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within 10 days following notification of the acceptance of their Bid. The Town of Jaffrey reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality or formality in the bidding process. No bids shall be withdrawn less than thirty (30) days after the scheduled bid opening without prior consent of the Town. The Town also reserves the right to investigate the ability of all bidders to successfully complete their proposals.
