Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Conestogo, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a day care center; multi-residential development; and retail development.
Construction of an affordable housing development comprised of approximately 23 residential and mixed-use buildings. Scope may include: three-storey townhomes; 4 to 9-storey apartment buildings; 5,200 sq m of commercial space which may include a daycare facility; 2 structure parking garages. Approximately 70% of the units will be ownership and 30% will be rental units. Approximately 62% of units will be affordable and the remaining 38% will be attainable. TIMELINE: Plans are conceptual. Minister's Zoning Order was granted early 2025 to expedite development. The City has officially designated Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region and Build Now: Waterloo Region as the developers. Whether or not an architect has been secured is unconfirmed. Site plan approvals will be required. Further update summer 2026.
