DEMO B6824 Project shall include the furnishing of all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the complete demolition of the building and associated pavement to include all equipment remaining inside and outside the building. Actual building square footage to be field verified by contractor. Building is approximately 225 feet by 90 feet and 2 stories tall. The building is a hangar on the flight line, and is mixed construction of metal, block, steel and concrete. In addition to building and foundation, the contractor should anticipate demolition of approximately 21,000 s.f of surrounding paving, mixed between concrete and asphalt. Contractor should anticipate constructing a full perimeter construction fence and temporary access path for vehicles and workers that will be removed at project completion. Perform demolition as indicated in accordance with UFC 1-200-01 General Building Requirements which includes the latest editions of the International Building Code, Architectural Barriers Act, and NFPA Life Safety Code. All required work shall be accomplished in accordance with the Barksdale AFB Design Compatibility Guidelines (DCG). Contractors and sub- contractors entering confined spaces on Barksdale AFB shall comply with all Base and OSHA confined space requirements.
