Renovation of a water / sewer project in Seabrook, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Scope In general, this work consists of: (Provide purpose/intent for items that may require further explanation) Contractor shall acquire all permits and provide copies to LAN as a prerequisite to starting work. Demolition of light pole and antenna, and abandonment of 12-inch by 12-inch surface drain. Void from removed surface drain to be filled with cementitious grout as indicated on plans. Replace wet well and valve vault access hatches and install metal safety gratings. Temporary bypass pumping for lining of wet well with cementitious lining, including bypass pumping for lift station rehabilitation to provide continuous sewer service diverted around the lift station during rehabilitation. Removal and relocation of quick disconnect assembly with bypass fitting aboveground including 3-inch cam lock fitting, 3-inch plug valve, 6-inch to 3-inch reducer, and 3-inch expansion coupling. Remove existing 6-inch by 4-inch elbow and replace with 6-inch by 4-inch tee fitting. Prevent infiltration on wet well walls by chemical grout injections. Lining of wet well interior, roof, and wet well baffle wall with an Engineer approved cementitious lining system, including cleaning, removal, and disposal of sediment, grit, sludge, and unsound concrete and surface preparation and application of 1-inch Engineer approved cementitious material for extremely harsh environments. Line wet well interior with Engineer approved epoxy coating. Removal of existing 4-inch ductile iron wet well piping. Installation of 4-inch type 316 stainless steel wet well piping, including any bends, fittings, reducers, supports, and all other appurtenances. Reseat and reseal pump stands. Remove and replace pump stands only as directed by Engineer. Surface preparation and recoating of existing piping, valves, and 6-inch vent pipe. Install new mesh screen over vent pipe. Remove and replace existing 4-inch plug valve as indicated on plans. Site restoration, including adding treated rot boards to fill in gaps under the lift station fence, removing and replacing concrete sidewalks, driveways, and damaged turf, plants, shrubs, fences, and trees, as required. Roll call will happen at the beginning of the meeting and as people join the meeting. To document attendees, please be prepared to verbally state and if possible, type in the following information into the Microsoft Teams chat window: your name, company name, email, and phone number. No person may represent more than one bidder at the pre-bid conference. If a person claims to represent more than one bidder at the pre-bid conference, the bid of each bidder so represented will be returned unopened. Each bid shall be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of total base bid. If certified or cashier's check is used as bid security, check must be drawn on a responsible bank located in the State of Texas and made payable to Owner only. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects and to reject any or all bids. In case of the lack of clarity or ambiguity in prices, the Owner reserves the right to accept the most advantageous or reject the bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide payment and performance bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
