Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Seabrook, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The civil design for this project was designed by Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN). The electrical design for this project was designed by Burrer Engineering, Inc. The bidding and construction phase engineering services on this project will also be conducted by LAN. Lift Station No. 20 Rehabilitation In general, this work consists of: Contractor shall acquire all permits and provide copies to LAN as prerequisite to starting work. Temporary bypass pumping for lining of wet well with cementitious lining and epoxy coating, including bypass pumping for lift station rehabilitation to provide continuous sewer service diverted around the lift station during rehabilitation. Bypass will not be diverted to WWTP headworks and bypass pumping is okay during hurricane season. Contractor shall coordinate with operation staff and/or Contractor for Lift Station No. 21 to ensure there is no flow from Lift Station No. 21 to Lift Station No. 20 during temporary bypass pumping. Removal and relocation of quick disconnect assembly with bypass fitting aboveground including 4-inch camlock fitting, 4-inch plug valve, and 4-inch expansion coupling. Remove existing 4-inch by 4-inch tee and replace with 4-inch by 4-inch cross fitting. Removal and relocation of 4-inch air vacuum release valve and existing 4-inch drain with flap valve. Remove and replace existing 4-inch plug valves and check valves as indicated on plans. Removal and replacement of existing 4-inch by 4-inch by 4-inch tee, 4-inch pipe and 4-inch elbow in valve vault as indicated on plans. Surface preparation and recoating of valve vault piping and valves including, existing piping, valves, and 6-inch vent pipe, with Engineer approved epoxy coating system. Install new mesh screen over vent pipe. Prevent infiltration on wet well walls by chemical grout injections. Lining of wet well interior, roof, and wet well baffle wall with an Engineer approved cementitious lining system, including cleaning, removal, and disposal of sediment, grit, sludge, and unsound concrete and surface preparation and application of 1-inch Engineer approved cementitious material for extremely harsh environments. Line wet well interior with Engineer approved epoxy coating. Removal of existing 4-inch ductile iron wet well piping. Installation of 4-inch type 316 stainless steel wet well piping, including any bends, fittings, reducers, supports, and all other appurtenances. Reseat and reseal pump stands. Remove and replace pump stands only as directed by Engineer. Remove and replace barbed wire to meet all state security requirements for critical facilities. Remove existing swing gate fence with dual sliding gate fence as indicated on plans and replace wooden front fence section. Replace wet well and valve vault access hatches and install metal safety gratings. Provide and install all electrical work shown in construction documents. Allowance for electrical service by local utility. Exact amount will be reimbursed to contractor upon submittal of invoice from electrical utility. All new accounts shall be opened by contractor and transferred to owner upon substantial completion. Power wash inside of existing CMU fence. Site restoration, including removing and replacing concrete sidewalks, driveways, and damaged turf, plants, shrubs, fences, and trees, as required.
