The Project is expected to be awarded end of April.** The Project will include. replacement of PG&E 21 kV service; replacement of 21kV switchgear; replacement of 21kV-480V stepdown transformers; bus duct connections; replacement of 480V distribution switchgear; replacement of 480V cogeneration switchgear; replacement of 480V standby generator and standby generator switchgear; new and modified control system components; new cable tray structural bridge; new feeders to interconnect to existing process MCC feeders within dedicated marshalling cabinets; structural retaining wall and concrete pad; civil infrastructure structural and electrical modifications to the existing Power Generation; mechanical and architectural and other related improvements. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of M1W in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. Question Deadline 03/13/2025 at 12:00 PM PT Discrepancies in, and/or omissions from the Bid or Contract Documents or questions as to their meaning shall be immediately brought to the attention of M1W by submission of a written request for an interpretation or clarification to M1W. Such submission, if any, must be sent to the Management Analyst at the address for M1W provided in the Notice Inviting Bids or at Yohana@my1water.org. The Engineer's estimated range of the cost of construction is between $30,000,000 and $33,000,000 The successful bidder will be required to furnish M1W with a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, and a Payment Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to execution of the Contract. All bonds are to be secured from a surety that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and is admitted by the State of California. The work under this Contract is to be completed within one thousand (1000) calendar days and work associated with Mllestone A as specified in Section 01140, Work Restrictions is to be completed within 200 calendar days Bidders are required to seek and encouraged to use certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) on the Project. Good faith efforts to utilize DBEs are detailed in Exhibit "1" of Section 00800 ("DBE GFE Requirements"). Bidders shall advertise for DBEs at least 20 days prior to the proposal due date. M1W shall award the Contract for the Project to the lowest responsible bidder submitting a responsive bid as determined from the base bid alone. M1W reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the Contract: State of California Class A General Engineering Contractor's License. In addition, the successful Bidder will be required to self-perform at least 20% of the work. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
