If either a unit price or extended price is obviously in error and the other is obviously correct, the incorrect price will be disregarded. Prices bid are to be F.O.B. St. Joseph, MI. All purchases are to be exempt from all taxes, including state and federal taxes. Exemption certificates will be furnished upon request. All bids to be considered must meet or exceed all specifications included in the Scope of Work. Acrylic Color Coating 1. The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and scraped to remove irregularities, dirt and debris. Entire court surface will be power washed with a pressure washer to clean the court surface of all stains, dirt, and peeling paint. 2. Minor depressions, rough areas, or any other area deemed necessary for repair shall be filled and leveled with the appropriate material per the manufacturer's specifications to help level the court surface as much as possible. Cracks shall be cleaned of dust, dirt and debris including vegetation and filled with acrylic patch mix designed for repairing cracks on asphalt tennis courts per the manufacturer's recommendations. 3. Apply 2 coats of acrylic filler coat binder to help level, fill, seal, and bond the court surface. 4. Apply 1 course(s) of color acrylic surfacing material as a texture filler course. 5. Apply 1 course of color acrylic surfacing material as a finish course. Court color, color combination and court speed to be selected by the owner. 6. Apply playing lines per USTA and U.S.A.P.A. specifications. Lines to be masked with tape and hand brushed for line clarity. Alternate 1: Fill structural cracks with Laykold 2 Part Urethane Crack Filler Alternate 2: RiteWay Crack Repair - Apply RiteWay Crack Repair System utilizing a specialized expandable membrane system per manufacturer's specifications based on approximately 2200 linear feet of cracks. 1. Filled cracks must be scraped or buffed flush with surface and cleaned 2. Apply RiteWay tape to all designated structural cracks and apply approved binding adhesive over MicroSealant tape. 3. Install RiteWay 20" stress mat centered over the first layer saturating with adhesive formula. 4. Install binding edge centered over stress mat edge. 5. Apply 1-2 coats of acrylic resurfacer lengthwise over crack repair. The undersigned certifies that the bid contained herein meets or exceeds the attached specifications. Prices bid will remain firm for at least ninety (90) days from the date of opening. There is no direct or indirect business relationship between this firm or any of its employees, with any member of the St. Joseph Public Schools Board of Education or any school district employee in a position of influence and there is no conflict of interest as outlined in Board Policy. A certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of the bid, made payable to st. Joseph public schools, will be required with each bid. A 100% of labor, material and performance bond will be required of the successful bidder. The bonding company must be licensed to do business in the state of Michigan.
