The City of Waterbury, Department of Engineering (hereinafter "City"), is seeking Proposals from qualified Proposers for the Sanitary/Sewer Manhole Separation Project (the "Project") as detailed and described in the Request for Proposal Documents (the "RFP"). It is the intent of the City for the Successful Proposer to furnish all labor, services, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and incidentals necessary to execute and properly finish the Project, as detailed and described herein. Scope of Work Summary. The scope of work for this Project includes altering the interior of 6 sanitary sewer manholes. The stormwater inlets will be sealed with masonry and water plug on 5 manholes and on the combined sewer manhole, the stormwater drainage pipe will be isolated from the sanitary sewer pipe by constructing a concrete floor with a 18" lockable hatch for future access. Proposer's attention is directed to the Price Proposal (Attachment E), the Technical Specifications, the General Conditions and the Special Conditions as well as the Standard Details, IWWC Permit, Project Drawing and standard details (Attachment G) which detail and describe the work and services associated with this RFP. Question Deadline 01/27/2025 at 2:00 PM ET All questions, requests for clarification and communications about this RFP and submission requirements must be submitted through online. It is anticipated that the Successful Proposer shall reach Substantial Completion of the Work on or before June 1, 2025 and shall reach Final Completion of all Work and Services required by this RFP on or before June 15, 2025. The City reserves the right to award in part, to reject any and all Proposals in whole or in part for misrepresentation or if the Proposer is in default of any prior City contract, or if the Proposal impermissibly limits or modifies any of the terms and conditions and/or specifications of the RFP. The City also reserves the right to waive technical defects, irregularities and omissions if, in its judgment, the best interest of the City will be served.
