1 Ramseur Water Treatment Plant upgrade work: a. Chlorination System. Convert existing gas chlorination system to a liquid sodium hypochlorite chlorination system. This will include removal of the existing gas chlorination system as shown on the Drawings and replacement with new sodium hypochlorite bulk storage tanks, new chemical day tank with weigh scale, two new chemical metering pump skids (to feed chemical at three locations), chemical transfer pumps, and associated chemical piping and valves. b. Filter Rehabilitation. For two (2) existing sand/anthracite filters, rehabilitate the filters including media replacement, Wheeler bottom liner and ball replacement, surface wash agitator (sweep) replacement, and control valve and actuator replacements. The Issuing Office and Owner's Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. Prospective Bidders may obtain Bidding Documents upon the submittal of the non-refundable fee, as listed below, to the attention of Ms. Jennifer Perry (jperry@thewootencompany.com) at the issuing office. The Bidding Documents will be shipped UPS ground. This fee will include registration and access to the Issuing Office Project Bidding site for electronic download of Bidding Documents as PDF Files. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. If Bidding Documents are obtained from a online other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format, Bidder must still be registered at the Bid Website. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
