The Project includes the following Work: 1 Ammonia Feed System. a. Add new Aqua Ammonia chemical feed system with injection into the finished water main after the High Service Pumps. b. One (1) Aqua Ammonia storage totes, new chemical metering pump skid, and associated chemical piping and valves housed in a new Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic building on a concrete pad. 2 Sedimentation Basin Sludge Removal System. Add new traveling suction type sludge removal system to each of the existing two (2) sedimentation basins. Sludge will discharge via automated valves to discharge box and to backwah holding/sludge thickener tank. 3 Replacement of the flash mix motor and flocculation mix motors with new motors on the existing units. 4 Replace existing buried decant valves at backwash holding /sludge thickener tank as shown on Drawings. Install new ultrasonic level probe in the existing tank for liquid level measurement. The Issuing Office and Owner Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. Prospective Bidders may obtain Bidding Documents upon the submittal of the non-refundable fee, as listed below, to the attention of Ms. Katrina Perry (kperry@thewootencompany.com) at the issuing office. The Bidding Documents will be shipped UPS ground. This fee will include registration and access to the Issuing Office Project Bidding site for electronic download of Bidding Documents as PDF Files. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. If Bidding Documents are obtained from online other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format, Bidder must still be registered at the Bid Website. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
